How to create a PID

This will serve as your email (should you need one) and user name to many VT/VTC based systems. 

To create your Personal Identifier (PID) please visit:

• Go to https://my.vt.edu/accounts/new/pid
• Select Generate PID under the Employees section
• Enter your ID # (obtained from HR)
• Follow the directions on each screen, note that the phone number must match the phone number you provided to HR
• Please email your PID (not your password) to HR@vtc.vt.edu. This will help us setup your building and network access.

You will need your VT ID number (sometimes called a 9# or a 90#) to complete this process.
