Create a Home Screen Icon / Shortcut for Web Sites on your Smartphone

If you frequently visit a web site, you can create a shortcut icon for it on the home screen of your smartphone:

iOS / iPhone:

1. Launch the Safari web browser and navigate to a website you frequently visit.

2. Tap the Bookmark icon at the bottom of the screen (it resembles a box with an upward-pointing arrow).

3. Tap Add to Home Screen.

4. Accept the suggested name for the shortcut, or enter one you like better, then tap Add to save the new shortcut icon to the home screen.

   

5. You'll now see the new icon next to all your other app icons on the home screen. 

Android:

1. Launch Chrome app (web browser).
2. Open the website or web page you want to pin to your home screen.
3. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
4. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.
