ZOOM PHONE: Accessing Your Voicemail & Updating Voicemail Message

Voicemail Notification

Your phone indicates when you have new voicemail in the following ways:

  • The message icon displays with the number of new messages in the following locations:
    • On the Home screen
    • In the status bar
    • Next to the phone line on the Lines screen
  • The message waiting indicator LED flashes
  • The phone plays an audible alert

Accessing Voicemail Messages

On the Zoom App:

  1. In the navigation ribbon at the top, select "Voicemail".
  2. Use the drop down to select between All Voicemail, Unread, and Follow Up. 
  3. Select the voicemail message you'd like to listen to.

On your Desk Phone:

  1. Go to Messages
  2. Select Message Center
  3. Optional: If you have multiple lines on your phone, select a line
  4. From the Messages screen, select Connect and follow the prompts to access your messages

Suppress the Message Alert

If you don’t want to be notified of messages when you receive a new one, you can temporarily remove the message alert:

  1. Go to Messages
  2. Select MessageCenter
  3. Select Clear

The phone removes all message indicators for approximately one to two hours.

Customize Audio Greetings Voicemail and Hold Music

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal
  2. In the navigation menu, click Phone 
  3. Click the Settings tab
  4. In the Call Handling section, do one of the following for when a call is not answered:
    Depending on your call handling settings selection, you will see one of these settings as mentioned in the call handling audio greetings table below:
    • Use the Default audio, or click Edit, then select one of the following:
      • Choose from Asset Library: Choose an audio greeting if your account has an audio library set up.
      • Add Audio: Add an audio greeting.
    • In the Others section, to the right of Hold Music, use the Default audio or click Edit, then select one of the following:
      • Choose from Asset Library: Choose an audio greeting if your account has an audio library set up.
        • Add Audio: Add an audio greeting.
          An audio will play for the other party when you place the call on hold. This applies when you are using the desktop client, mobile app, or a desk phone.
          NOTE: This setting doesn't apply to parked calls. Parked calls are placed on hold but the call participant on hold will hear the default Zoom hold music. 
        • Disable: Disable hold music.
