Set Priority of Preferred Wifi Network in OSX

On Mac OSX High Sierra or Mojave, you may find you need to set a preferred network for your wifi connection if your Mac is automatically connecting to a network other than Eduroam, or another you prefer.

To change the order of your networks:

  1. Select the Wi-Fi menu in the upper right of your Mac desktop (by default it is located near the clock).
  2. Select Open Network Preferences and a new window will open.
  3. Make sure that Wi-Fi is highlighted on the left part of the screen and press the Advanced... option.
  4. In the window that opens, you can now select the various Wi-Fi networks you have saved on your machine. From here you can drag them up and down to adjust their priority or use the - button to remove a no-longer needed network.
  5. Once complete, select OK and then select Apply on the previous screen.
Choose files or drag and drop files
