Why do I Have Multiple Accounts (VT and FBRI)?

At this time, Virginia Tech and the FBRI maintain separate account databases / directories and email systems.  

Virginia Tech Email addresses: jqresearcher@vt.edu

VTCRI Email addresses: jqresearcher@vtc.vt.edu

Your Virginia Tech PID and / or Hokies account provides access to services and systems provided by Virginia Tech such as Banner, Zoom, HR systems, @vt.edu email, Office 365, Eduroam, and many, many more.   

Your FBRI username and password is used to login to workstations and systems, including email, VPN, file shares, and more at the FBRI.   NOTE: Students and Volunteers do not typically have an additional FBRI/VTC email account, only an email address that forwards to their @vt.edu or other external account.
